The Lovely Laura

She is my best friend here at WSU and she calls me her bff Cara.  We spend a lot of time together and I don't know what I would do with out her.  If my day is rough, I can count on her to listen and give me suggestions.  She is there for me and I am there for her. 

We met because we both live in the same dorm.  But we really became friends when we realized we could be workout buddies since we were both looking for someone to exercise with.  Things have sure worked out!  She and I go to yoga and spin class together each week and fit other trips to the gym into our schedule, too.  I'm so glad she is willing to try new things because otherwise I would be all alone and probably wouldn't be as out going.  I was so happy when she said she would sign up for spin class and yoga with me.  Both were things neither of has had done before, but we took a chance.  Needless to say, we love spin and yoga very much and the time we get to spend together! 

If you asked Laura what her favorite part about being friends with me is, I am pretty sure she would say GIRL TIME!  Girl time happens about every day and if it doesn't we make it up as soon as possible.  Girl time includes painting nails, doing hair, making crafts, watching movies, making cookies, shopping, or going out and finding something to do.  Our favorites are nails, hair, and makeup.  We love being girly and doing girly things!  To the left is Laura and I after we got makeup make overs at the Clinque counter in The Bookie.  We LOVED it because it was girl time that involved makeup!  Don't we look great, especially, our eyes?


Again, I am happy to have Laura as friend.  She and I are super excited to be living together next year in an apartment because it'll let us expand girl time.  We are already planning how we want to decorate, what we want to cook, dinner parties, and workout routines.  Knowing Laura and being friends with her is so awesome!  Love ya girl!

One Month Down

Today is an exciting day!

Today, February 1, marks one month of blogging for me!  I love this whole blogging thing and find it to be quite fun.  I enjoy using blogging as a way to share my thoughts and what I am up to.  I also like to use it to get away from studying and homework for a few minutes, which is probably what I like most about my blog.  Simply put, it is another distraction just like Facebook.  I'm a college student!  Therefore, I love any excuse or activity that gets me out of school work.  Since I like blogging and am keeping up on my school stuff, I will say that blogging is a good distraction for me.  After all, I am attempting to practice my writing skills when I write a post for my blog.  It's all good.

Wonderful Weekend With Lil' E!

First, off...Lil' E is my little sister Erin.  Sometimes I refer to her as Lil' E because she loved writing little "e"s over and over when she was little. 

So Erin came and stayed with me this last weekend for the first time since I've been at college.  Yes, she has come with my parents for the day here and there, but this is the first time I have gotten to have her for a whole weekend.  It was such a wonderful one, too!  We had lots of good sister and girl time. 

Aren't we just the cutest?  We were ready for a day out.

Here is what kept us busy for the 43 hours we were together.  We went for milkshakes.  Twice.  I got vanilla and she gotten chocolate strawberry.  YUM YUM!  We also watched three movies that made us laugh.  We also made a midnight run to Wal-Mart where we bought some makeup items.  On Saturday, our friend Rachel joined us for the day.  We went to consignment shops downtown, had lunch, and got our nails done.  When we got back to my dorm, we ordered pizza and watch two of the weekend's three movies.  We also laughed, giggled, and talked a lot.  It was FUN!  We went to bed close to one and didn't get up until ten!  We were tired I guess from our busy day of enjoying ourselves.  Erin and I spent Sunday morning just laying around and talking before she left.  It was much needed.

We had such a great weekend together.  I am already looking forward to having Lil' E come again.  This weekend made me realize that I need to make more time for weekend fun and little adventures.  Erin also needs to come more often because I miss her!
