Shot A Gun

All I can say is that the year 2011 has contained a lot of "firsts" for me.  I took my first fitness classes, lived alone for the first time, bought my first one should dress, and shot my first guns.  Well, the guns belong to my boyfriend.  Yes, guns.  First, I shot a little gun.  I even hit a can, a target, after three tries.  Once I mastered shooting the little gun, my boyfriend got out his big gun and showed me how to shoot it.  I was not able to master shooting it because I never came close to hitting a target.  When we were all done shooting guns, I walked away with a bruise on my collar bone from the big gun's kick and shell from one of the big gun's bullets.
Here I am shooting the little gun.

So I am actually false in saying this was my first time shooting a gun because I have shot a BB gun.  However, to a boyfriend who is big into owning guns, shooting, and hunting, a BB gun does not count.  Since it was his turn to plan our date last weekend, he chose to take me shooting.  He taught me all about loading the gun, holding it, lining it up, releasing the safety, and pulling the trigger.  It was all intimidating because Brian is an expert when it comes to guns, and because guns are so dangerous.  It was pretty fun, though, but guns will always frighten me.

Brian, the expert shooting, the little gun.
I'm not sure why I had to lay on these tarps, but Brian said it was necessary for shooting the big gun.  I guess it made it feel more like the real deal.  Whatever that is.
