Well, after having dinner with a friends a couple nights ago, I decided I would start a blog. A little way to add something new to this new year ahead of me. I made this decision after one friend mentioned she had started one. I have been thinking a blog would be fun, but wasn't sure what I would write about or that my life would be interesting to write about. Now I'm just going to go for it! My hope is to blog about once a week and keep my readers up-to-date on my life in 2011. But first, I want to recap on the great year of 2010!
Twenty ten was a busy year for me. It started off with a new year's resolution to work out more since I had failed to do that my first semester at college. I accomplished my goal by working out four to five days a week. It was tough to fit working out into my already fun and busy schedule that was mostly school related, but I did it! I also finished my first year of college at WSU! Some days at school just flew by and others seemed like they would never end. However, when I moved back home last May, I felt like I had just moved to Pullman the day before. When I sit back and think about it, time at college goes by really quickly! Almost too quickly! As I finished up spring semester, I applied for and got a job at the Student Recreation Center on campus as a service attendant. I am so proud of myself for making it through the application process, which included two interviews! I thought it would be this simple process, but it was the real deal! I'm glad, though, because now I know I'll be ready the next time I apply for a job. I really enjoy my job at the SRC. I work about nine hours a week, and it is a nice way to escape from school for a few hours. Not to mention the few extra bucks are nice for shopping trips, paying for groceries, and making my car payment. That's right, I got my very own car this year too! It's a dark grey Subaru Legacy, and I absolutely love it! Subby has been a great car for me because of it's gas milage, the amount of stuff I can cram into it, and it's AWD. It's great having a car, and getting a car was a fun way to start my summer. Summer, as usual, was not long enough, but it was a good one. I took an online class and did very well in it. I also spent a lot of time riding my horse, Daisy. I went to riding lessons once a week with my sister and her horse. My whole family went to Montanta in June to my cousin's wedding. It was nice, and we got to go to Yellowstone. Yellowstone was so neat and I can't wait to go back! My family also went boating a few times, and we had a blast. It was so fun to escape the hot days of summer by spending it on a lake. I was very busy over the summer between going places, farming, studying, riding horses, boating, and relaxing. Then summer ended in August when I went back to Pullman to start another year of school and my new job. Fall semester had it's ups and downs. My classes were so hard, but I am happy to say I made it through with nice passing grades! I have also made new friends through my job and through living at the dorm. I am very glad to have these new and wonderful people in my life. Fall semester was busy with school, work, and trips home. The best trips home, though, were for Thanksgiving and Christmas Breaks because I got to be away from school for at least a week and spend time with my family. In fact, last night I got to ring in the new year with my family. It's such a good feeling to be with family and say good-bye to the old year and hello to the new!
I am looking foward to the new year! I know there will be tough and fun times, and I am ready for it all. As a new followers to me, a new blogger, I hope you are ready to keep up with me in 2011! Happy new year!
